As a dedicated Project Co-ordinator for Heart of Sidley, Tanya has been instrumental in empowering residents to take ownership of their neighbourhood’s development. Having lived and raised her family in the neighbouring area for two decades, Tanya brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Her strategic approach and commitment to community engagement have been integral in the success of Heart of Sidley.
Since joining the partnership in 2019, Tanya has played a pivotal role in securing almost £400,000 in additional funding, enabling Heart of Sidley to implement various community development projects. Her efforts have also culminated in the planning approval and development of a fully accessible community hub, which will provide a central space for residents to connect, learn, and participate in local activities.
Through her work, Tanya has demonstrated a passion for fostering community empowerment and creating a positive impact on the lives of local residents. Her dedication and expertise have made her a valuable asset to Heart of Sidley and a driving force behind the initiative's success.

♡ Jessica Barrett - Team Assistant ♡
Passionate about making a difference in her local community, Jess joined Heart of Sidley in February 2022 bringing a proven track record in community engagement and public service.
As a local resident raising three children in the area, she understands the importance of strong community connections. During her eight years of service with Sussex Police, Jess developed exceptional skills in community engagement and effective communication which she has brought across to her role with Heart of Sidley.
Jess is dedicated to working alongside residents, businesses, and local organisations to enhance the Sidley area.
Jess plays a key role in raising awareness of Heart of Sidley’s work through her marketing and communications efforts, managing all social media, branding, the Heart of Sidley website, and successful fundraising campaigns like the "Buy a Brick" campaign, whilst also securing vital sponsorships throughout the year.
