Events

Throughout the year the Heart of Sidley put on a variety of fun activities and events!

These include our Summer fun days, Festive Light Switch On & Free Family Event and much more!

We are very fortunate to have strong links with our community and always grateful for help and support from volunteers, but we always welcome extra help- is this you?

Our fabulous volunteers are always willing to get stuck in and help us with lots of different tasks and join in the fun!

Our popular summer fun day is a great opportunity for local families to get together and enjoy FREE activities at Sidley Recreation ground.

At our last summer event, Sidley Festival, over a thousand people of all ages attended.

Check out our Sidley Festival page here: https://heartofsidley.co.uk/sidley-festival/

During the summer holidays we also put on a coach trip to a local family attraction, most recently Port Lympne Safari Park!

We subsidise the trip for families so they get an entry pass to the attraction and return travel via coach back to the Heart of Sidley.

Things get really festive with our Festive Light Switch On outside the New Inn Pub and free family event at Freedom Church.

Many organisations come along to support the event from Sussex Police and The Bexhill Lions, to the Mayor, Sidley Marine Cadets and Sidley Cricket Club!

The FREE event is open to all in the community, however the majority of people are from the local area keen to join in and see Santa, and this year - The Grinch too!

Each community stall is FREE and families can take part in a variety of festive activities, from making Christmas cards, decorations, get their face painted or simply wait to see Father Christmas.

The Festive lights in Sidley high street are paid for and arranged by the Heart of Sidley with sponsorship from local businesses and contributors.

Details of this year's festive event can be found over on our dedicated Facebook Event Page: https://fb.me/e/5Y6D1KPsW

A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO THIS YEARS FESTIVE SPONSORS!
